Grad Assessments at SAIL
Dear Parents, Guardians (and Students),
SAIL Secondary will be hosting Grad Assessments at the DEC Building, 14123 92 Avenue, Surrey, B.C. on the following dates:
- Literacy 10 – October 30, 2023
- Numeracy 10 – October 31, 2023
- Literacy 12 – November 2, 2023
All Grad Assessments will be held in room 304, in the DEC Building, and each exam will start at 9:00 a.m. on the designated day.
Please use the following links to register to write a Grad Assessment(s). Please select the link for the assessment(s) you intend to write on the above dates.
General Information
Every student in British Columbia must write these assessment in order to graduate with a Dogwood Diploma.
Students should arrive 15 minutes early for these assessments, with photo I.D. to verify identity.
- Electronics, such as cell phones or smart watches, are not allowed during Grad Assessments.
- Students are only allowed to have a water bottle at their work station during Grad Assessments.
- Pens and pencils can be used to make notes on scrap paper (that will be provided) for the Literacy Assessments.
- Pens and/or pencils are required to complete two written questions during the Numeracy 10 Assessment.
- Students are also allowed to bring a non-programable calculator with them for the Numeracy 10 Assessment.

Numeracy 10

Students need to be able to: Interpret, Apply, Solve, Analyze & Communicate responses.

Literacy 10

Students need to be able to: Analyze, Understand & Communicate about a variety of texts.

Literacy 12

Students need to be able to: use critical and reflective thinking and analysis to make meaning from a diverse array of texts
